It might not feel like spring yet, but as far as I'm concerned, the beginning of March is the perfect time to update my wardrobe for the season. If you're also ready to swap heavy puffers for lightweight jackets and jeans for linen pants, follow my lead and check out some of the latest releases at Free People. The brand is stocked with pieces that'll have you taking on tricky transitional weather in style, like this embroidered denim jacket ($198) that leaves plenty of room for layering and this breezy bohemian skirt ($128) that's right on trend. To help get you started filling up your cart, I've picked out a few of the best finds below.

This crochet-top midi dress looks like something I could live in all spring and summer long, especially since it's made from a lightweight cotton and linen blend material that will feel breezy when the weather heats up. Not to mention, it could easily be worn as either a typical dress with a nude bra or tank underneath, or as a fab beach-to-happy hour option over a swimsuit.

This smock-like sweater tank is not only a practical layer for springtime weather (if you ask me, it would look just as cute with a long-sleeve top underneath as it does on its own), but it's trendy, too, with adjustable bow ties holding it closed at either side. The versatile top has a relaxed fit and is made with a cotton-blend material that you can wear well into summer, including over your bikini top.

From its gauzy fabric to its tiered design and fun pattern, this skirt practically screams "bohemian" and it's totally worth adding to your closet for spring. It has a mid rise and partial lining, plus, one reviewer calls out its ethereal look and lightweight construction. They wrote, "I can't get enough of this feathery light, ethereal maxi skirt. Perfect for your favorite festival, concerts, date night [and] strolls on the beach." They also noted that it fits true to size, so you don't have to worry about swimming in the extra volume.

I'm always on the hunt for breathable, lightweight pants no matter the time of year, and this pull-on style is a *must* this season. They have a laid-back look thanks to their wide fit and stretchy waistband, so they'll be perfect for casual weekend days heading out to grab some coffee or doing a bit of shopping. And even though they're made of a linen blend, they're machine-washable, so I know I'll wear them over and over.

I've been seeing tons of fancy jeans lately, so obviously I'm ready to embrace the trend in the form of denim jackets—starting with this embroidered one. It features a cute celestial theme that still feels neutral enough to layer over any color or pattern you wish. Plus, it's oversized, allowing you to stack some thicker layers underneath. According to shoppers who've already made the splurge, it's *so* worth the money. Take it from this one who shared, "I debated purchasing this denim jacket because of the price but could not stop admiring it online. It is truly worth the money...outstanding with the embroidery and heavy denim...it is oversized but not [so] overly that you need to size down from your usual size."

Anything reversible makes me feel like I'm getting two items for the cost of one, which is how I convinced myself I simply need this tote (and, yes, you do, too). On one side, it's a soft vegan suede, while the other is a smooth vegan leather that has a built-in zippered pocket that's great for storing items like your favorite lip gloss. Not to mention, it's big enough to carry your laptop, so you can use it for work days and weekends alike.

Easy-to-throw-on sets are some of my favorite things to buy from Free People, and right now I have my eyes on this funky striped one that comes in a bunch of different color combos. It looks cute enough to wear out to lunch but comfy enough to lounge in and, in my opinion, both pieces would look fab paired with other items like jeans or a white tee, if you want to switch up the look.

We've seen tons of bag charms and even shoe charms lately, but this season, I'm looking for fun ways to accessorize my hair, and I'll be starting with this gold oyster clip. The metal claw clip totally nails the fisherman aesthetic, too, and that faux pearl is sure to stand out. And at this price, I might just pick up the lobster clip to go along with it.
