Beyoncé Just Showed Off a Handbag That Looks Like a Fabergé Egg

We don't know when Beyoncé sleeps, because it feels like she posts iconic fashion moments to her Instagram every hour.

In her latest series of posts, the 40-year-old superstar looked like she was ready for a Mamma Mia-style getaway, as she donned a gorgeous blue-and-white gown, custom-made by Dolce & Gabbana. The outfit also included a headscarf to match.

She paired the flowy dress with ivory Athens heels from Femme L.A., as well as jewelry from Lorraine Schwartz. She also sported filigree and pearl sunglasses that were from Dolce & Gabbana too.

However, the pièce de résistance of the singer's ensemble was her stunning handbag, which (you guessed it) was also custom-made by Dolce & Gabbana. The gold-and-white gilded accessory was adorned with multicolored jewels and it looked just like a fabergé egg. However, according to the Instagram account @stylebeyonce, there's a more religious inspiration behind Beyoncé's bag.

According to the fashion account, Dolce & Gabbana found their inspiration in Vatican City, the home of the Pope. It turns out that there was a papal tiara that was worn by every pope from the 8th century all the way until 1963. And this sacred piece of headwear was what the fashion company modeled their bag after. (If only they had made this in time for the Met Gala "Heavenly Bodies" theme back in 2018.)

Queen Bey showed off the attention-grabbing accessory in more photos, including some shots of her and her husband, Jay-Z, hanging out in what appears to be a luxury boat.

Commenters were just as stunned as we were, saying things like “Girl I just got off the breathing machine!!!!!!!!” Another user wrote, “B stop - I can’t take anymore.”

They took the words right out of our mouths.
