What Makes lululemon Align Leggings So Special?
The brand’s Align collection has been a fan favorite for years, but what sets it apart from lululemon’s other leggings is the material. The Align collection is made from the brand’s proprietary Nulu fabric, which was designed to be incredibly lightweight, buttery-soft and to give you full range of motion with no tugging or pulling, even as you stretch yourself into the twistiest yoga positions. Speaking of twisting, Nulu fabric is also totally squat-proof, so you can bend and stretch in any direction without worrying about the material going sheer. Like any good workout textile, Nulu quickly wicks away moisture and is super breathable to keep you cool and comfortable all the way through your sweat sesh. But we suspect, overall, it’s that ultimate weightless feeling that makes lululemon’s Align leggings such a stand-out favorite.

These cute crops are just like your go-to leggings, just with a bit of ribbed texture to shake things up. Much like the OGs, they also feature a hidden waistband pocket for small essentials. “I wasn't sure how I would like the ribbed material compared to the regular Aligns that I am used to,” writes one reviewer, “but the ribbing is even more flattering and better at hiding those problem areas! Aligns have been my go to during pregnancy, too. They have good stretch but still hold you together.”

These cropped pants were designed to give your legs some extra breathing room during yoga sessions, but we think they’re definitely cute enough to wear out and about, too. As one reviewer writes, “The material is very comfy for lounge around the house. The length is perfect for my height as well (5 feet 5 inches), it sits about 4 to 5 inches above my ankle.”
Some other reviewers also suggest going up a size, especially if you have larger hips or thighs, but most say they found the wide-leg crops to run true to size. As for storage, this style features two deep pockets on either hip in addition to a smaller card pocket at the back of the waistband.

As a fashion editor, I basically only wear leggings with pockets to workout because it’s just so much easier to have my phone, ID, credit card and keys right at my fingertips. Personally, I am wildly excited to test out these Align ones with a pocket on each hip. They feature two deep side pockets (large enough to fit most cell phones) to supplement a small card pocket at the back of the waistband. And the 23-inch hemline is great for petite frames, no hemming required.

Meet the grown-up version of your beloved early aughts flared yoga pants. This high-waist style has a much smaller flare (so it’s less likely to get caught under your feet as you walk), which helps to elevate the overall vibe. Not so much—this full-length pant has the same high-waist and deep pockets as the shorter pair, just with 9 extra inches added to the hem. While they were designed for yoga and similarly low-impact workouts, we think they have the potential to be the ultimate travel pants. The Nulu fabric is so comfortable, but, even better, it won’t wrinkle no matter how long you’re sitting in a car or on a plane, so you can arrive looking and feeling totally fresh.

Not too fitted, not too loose, these joggers have an ideal Goldilocks fit that’s somewhere between classic leggings and baggy sweatpants. Reviews rave about how flattering they are on a range of body types, and they reportedly run true to size. Our only gripe is that lululemon doesn’t list the inseam length, but does note that the model pictured is 5 feet 9 inches for reference.
