The red carpet arrivals for the 2026 Golden Globe Awards are in full swing and Alicia Silverstone—who appears in the nominated film, Bugonia—is already setting the bar high. She stepped out at the Beverly Hilton hotel in Los Angeles with a vibe that is giving classic Hollywood. But there was something else I couldn’t help but notice: Her head-to-toe strapless red dress is also reminiscent of her iconic Clueless character Cher Horowitz.

For the record, it’s been 30 years(!) since Clueless debuted on the big screen and Cher (played by Silverstone) ceremoniously rejected Elton—“ugh, as if”—as he made unwanted advances while driving her home from a party in the valley. In the scene, Cher also wears a red dress (it’s an Alaïa, she famously describes while getting mugged) in the same hue as her Golden Globes ensemble. OK, OK, her Clueless look is a mini-dress, but one glance at her red carpet style tonight and it’s hard not to immediately flash back to that hilarious moment in the film.

More reasons to love Silverstone’s look tonight: The strapless gown is not only stunning, it features a sweetheart neckline, ruching in all the right places and a beautiful trailing hem. She paired it elegantly with a diamond choker and diamond tennis bracelets. With her blonde hair worn down, her overall look is as timeless as it is the perfect nod to her ‘90s self.
