The Golden Bachelor captured the hearts of viewers everywhere. Although it was the same format as the original ABC show, the stories were more heartwarming than ever before. Fans tuned in week after week to witness Golden Bachelor Gerry Turner’s journey to find love after loss. Now that the Golden Wedding has come and gone, there’s only one question on our mind: Will there be a Golden Bachelorette?

1. Will There be a Golden Bachelorette?

In February 2024, ABC confirmed there *will* be a Golden Bachelorette after The Golden Bachelor. According to Deadline, the network announced at the Television Critics Association Press Tour panel that an inaugural season is currently in the works.

The news shouldn’t come as a huge surprise because host Jesse Palmer previously revealed that he was hopeful about the possibility of The Golden Bachelorette.

“As the show goes on, you learn more about these women, what they’ve been through,” he told TODAY. “I think there’s going to be a swell in support of there being a Golden Bachelorette. That’s my personal opinion.”

“I can’t speak on behalf of executives or anybody else, obviously,” Palmer continued. “I’m sure everyone’s waiting to see how this one goes first. But I know there are thousands of women across America deserving of that.”

2. When Will The Golden Bachelorette Premiere?

ABC hasn’t announced a specific premiere date for the inaugural season of The Golden Bachelorette. However, we do know that the show will arrive this fall, according to CNN. In addition, Craig Erwich (president of Disney Television Group) recently revealed that the casting process is “well underway,” so it’s only a matter of time before more details surface.

3. Who Will be the Golden Bachelorette?

If we had to guess, we think there are a few contenders. First, there’s Joan Vassos. She was a frontrunner in the beginning of Turner’s Golden Bachelor season, but after a family emergency, she chose to leave the show early. Perhaps this is a perfect opportunity to give her the second chance she deserves.

Plus, there are several ladies who’ve been highly involved in Bachelor Nation since the show wrapped. First, there was the Golden Wedding, where Kathy Swarts served as a “Gold Carpet Correspondent” alongside former Bachelorette Charity Lawson.

Swarts was also joined by a few ladies—including April Kirkwood, Susan Noles and Nancy Hulkower—on last week’s episode of The Bachelor, where they helped Joey Graziadei judge the Mrs. Right Pageant.

Their involvement could be purely coincidental, but they’ve maintained a strong relationship with ABC—and that’s worth noting.
