It’s officially time to return to the world of spells, sisters and complicated family drama because Practical Magic 2 has finally arrived. The sequel to the 1998 classic hit theaters on September 10, bringing Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock back as Sally and Gillian Owens and adding a whole new generation to the story.

You may recognize Joey King and Maisie Williams, but there's another familiar face as well by the name of Solly McLeod. In Practical Magic 2, he plays Thomas "Tom" Lockland, a dark warlock and former apprentice with ties to Sally’s daughter Kylie (played by King).

And if you found yourself thinking, “OK, why do I know this guy?” while watching, your TV history may hold the answer.

McLeod previously stepped into the Game of Thrones universe with a role in House of the Dragon. He played Ser Joffrey Lonmouth, also known as the "Knight of Kisses," during the show’s first season.

Joffrey was part of the drama surrounding the Targaryen royal court and appeared in season one, including episodes three and five. One of his most memorable moments came during Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen and Laenor’s wedding feast, when he approached Ser Criston Cole.

So yes, if McLeod’s face was giving you a major case of déjà vu, there’s your answer.

But House of the Dragon isn’t the only recognizable title on his résumé. According to IMDb, McLeod also appeared in an episode of Outlander in 2022. He has also picked up several credits on the TV series Star City.

Now, McLeod is trading dragons and royal intrigue for witches and family curses, and honestly, it feels like a pretty perfect next move.

With Practical Magic 2 putting him in front of an even bigger audience, don’t be surprised if you start seeing a whole lot more of him.
