Sarah Jessica Parker Talks ‘Hocus Pocus 2’ on the Met Gala Red Carpet

The Sanderson Sisters are back for one more spell.

Last night, actress Sarah Jessica Parker showed up to the Met Gala red carpet wearing a custom-made black-and-white ball gown, designed by Christopher John Rogers. During the event, interviewer La La Anthony asked the Sex and the City star if she could talk about her upcoming film, Hocus Pocus 2.

The 57-year-old actress tried to think of a dodgy answer before finally responding, “They think they’ve won this time. And they still enjoy a musical number.” She’s clearly referring to the Sanderson Sisters and their love for singing, which was first shown through the iconic musical performance in the original film (where they sang “I Put A Spell On You” onstage).

Parker, Bette Midler and Kathy Najimy will reprise their roles as the trio of witches in the highly anticipated sequel. Back in November, Disney+ shared the first promotional photo for the film on their Instagram page. All three actresses are wearing the original outfits from the 1993 film in the snapshot. The photo caption also revealed the sequel will be released sometime in the fall of 2022.

The talented ensemble cast will include Whitney Peak (Gossip Girl), Lilia Buckingham (Crown Lake), Belissa Escobedo (Don’t Look Deeper), Tony Hale (Arrested Development), Sam Richardson (The Tomorrow War), Hannah Waddingham (Ted Lasso), Froy Gutierrez (Teen Wolf), Taylor Henderson, Juju Brener and Nina Kitchen.

Oh look! Another morning without seeing the Hocus Pocus sequel. Makes us sick!
