Netflix is giving Running Point fans exactly what they asked for: another season!

After tons of buzz and viewer requests, the streamer officially announced on Thursday, March 6, that the Mindy Kaling-created dramedy has been renewed for a second season. The news dropped via a special social media video featuring the show’s leading lady, Kate Hudson.

“A good basketball team owner knows when to listen to the fans. So we hear you and so did Netflix,” Hudson says in the clip. “Running Point is officially coming back for Season 2! Thank you so much to everyone who’s watched so far—you’re the reason we get to do this again. See you next season!”

The renewal comes just a week after Running Point premiered on February 27, but let’s be real—this was pretty much inevitable. The show wasted no time climbing to the top of Netflix’s most-watched list, proving it’s already a major hit.

For those who need a quick refresher, Running Point follows Isla Gordon (Hudson), a sharp, no-nonsense L.A. executive who suddenly finds herself in charge of one of the most famous professional basketball teams in the country after her older brother spectacularly flames out in public.

The show boasts a seriously stacked ensemble cast, including Scott MacArthur (The Mick), Drew Tarver (The Other Two), Max Greenfield (New Girl), Brenda Song (The Last Showgirl), Chet Hanks (Your Honor) and Toby Sandeman (The Royals).

As for when season two will drop? Netflix hasn’t spilled the details just yet, but since the show only premiered a week ago, you’ll likely have to wait a bit. In the meantime, all ten episodes of Running Point season one are available to stream now on Netflix.
