Attention Horror Fans: The Teaser for Netflix's Upcoming ‘A Classic Horror Story’ Will Give You Serious Chills

Halloween may be pretty far off, but horror lovers still have reason to celebrate.

Netflix is releasing a new Italian flick called A Classic Horror Story, and in order to build excitement for the gore fest, the streaming giant released a chilling 50-second teaser.

The short clip starts with an outdoor shot of a secluded barn before viewers are taken inside the horrors of this simple-looking building full of animal heads and medieval tools. While the video is brief, it will certainly make you sweat (and it is not recommended for the faint of heart). Check it out below.

When the NetflixFilm Twitter account shared the first taste of the nail-biter, they gave a clue as to what viewers should expect, saying, “Think the Italian Midsommar meets Texas Chain Saw.” And along with the clip, Netflix offered a simple caption that said, “Music for children, an abandoned house, five strangers: it looks like the classic horror movie and instead...”

The film stars Matilda Lutz, who previously played Jennifer in the 2017 French film Revenge, as well as Julia in the 2017 horror flick Rings. Lutz is joined by Will Merrick, Yuliia Sobol, Justin Korovkin, Peppino Mazzotta, Cristina Donadio, Francesco Russo and Alida Baldari Calabria.

A Classic Horror Story was directed by Roberto De Feo and Paolo Strippoli, both of whom wrote the film's screenplay, along with Lucio Besana, David Bellini and Milo Tissone. Production was handled by Maurizio Totti and Alessandro Usai.

You won't have to wait for long, scary movie lovers, because A Classic Horror Story hits Netflix on July 14. We'll be ready with our popcorn and our doors locked.
