As the year winds down, there’s plenty to look forward to—Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s Eve and yes, Emily in ParisRome season five. Fans got the first official teaser for the upcoming season on October 22 and now one of the show’s stars, Lucien Laviscount, is sharing some insight.

The upcoming season has seen a cast shakeup and while the teaser didn’t feature Lucien’s beloved character Alfie, fans can breathe easy. He told PureWow, “Alfie is back… and he's got a reason to be there."

While the English actor, 33, couldn’t reveal plot details, he did share that the first episode left him completely "shocked." So much so that he went a little MIA.

While his phone was "blowing up" from fellow cast and crew who were reacting to the first episode of season five, Lucien admitted it took him "a few days to kind of process."

"I didn't reply to anyone for a couple of days after I read [it]," he shared.

Fans will have to wait until December 18 to see Lucien's Alfie back on-screen (and the episode that left him so stunned) but they don’t have to wait to check out his latest venture: a partnership with premium cat food brand Sheba for their 4AM Stories series. It’s a soothing audio story experience designed to help both you and your cat drift off to sleep.

“A little bit of entertainment with the stories is how they've managed to incorporate the cat into the stories,” Lucien explained, who is dad to two cats, Nala and Simba.

"If they're sassy, curious, shy, lazy, [the story] customizes to who they are,” he added.

Lucien’s current cat story vibe?

“I'm kind of on the Jane Austen romance vibe at the minute,” he said.

Only question: Are Nala and Simba as excited for Emily in Paris season five as we are?
