The First Trailer for Julia Roberts and George Clooney’s Rom-Com ‘Ticket to Paradise’ is Finally Here

Mark your calendars because there's a new film coming out featuring two A-list celebs we've really been missing on the big screen.

Universal Pictures has just released the first trailer for Ticket to Paradise, a romantic comedy starring Julia Roberts and George Clooney. (Talk about a dynamic duo.) Here's your first look at the flick below.

The film follows two divorcées who are forced to team up together and fly to Bali to convince their daughter, Lily (played by Kaitlyn Dever), to not marry a local she just met. The kicker is the parents are familiar with marrying too soon and try to trick their daughter into not repeating the same mistake they did 25 years prior. And yes, it has silly moments including Clooney being bit by a dolphin, stealing the wedding rings and playing beer pong.

The trailer gives us a sneak peek at the actors as they are constantly budding heads and throwing sparring words at each other. One scene shows Roberts asking the flight attendant to change her seat, saying, "Excuse me ma'am. I need to sit somewhere else. We use to be married." To which Clooney says, "Worst 19 years of my life." But the best part is Roberts's character follows that statement with "We were only married for five" until Clooney finishes the sparring match with "I'm counting the recovery."

Aside from Roberts and Clooney, the cast also includes Billie Lourd (Booksmart, American Horror Story) and Lucas Bravo (Emily in Paris). The movie veterans are also producers of the film, so rest assured we are in good hands in the rom-com department. Seriously, if it got Roberts out of her 20-year hiatus from the genre then it's worth the watch. It was the same for Clooney, who was ready to get back into it after reading the film's script.

"I haven't done a romantic comedy really since One Fine Day," Clooney told Deadline"I've done some sort of snarky ones, you know, and in this one, Julia and I just get to be mean to each other in the funniest way...It's just a really, fun, fun, fun cast all the way around."

Ticket to Paradise will hit theaters on October 21 and then will be available on Peacock 45 days after the theatrical premiere. Until then, we'll have this trailer on repeat.
