The Sanderson Sisters Reunite in First Official ‘Hocus Pocus 2’ Teaser

Hide your children because the Sanderson Sisters are back and even scarier than ever.

Disney just released the first official teaser for Hocus Pocus 2, the highly anticipated sequel to the 1993 classic. In the new installment, we’ll see the return of the spell-casting trio, Winifred (Bette Midler), Sarah (Sarah Jessica Parker) and Mary (Kathy Najimy), as they rise from the ashes and return to Salem, hungry for more children’s souls.

“Lock up your children,” Winifred shouts in the teaser clip before the infamous Black Flame Candle is lit once again. “Yes, Salem, we’re back!”

The sisters soon find themselves at a carnival, to which the organizer says, “Hey! It’s the Sanderson Sisters. I bet you're looking for the stage?” Winifred replies with a wicked smile and says, “Always.” Fans of the original may recall the trio’s classic musical number “I Put a Spell on You,” which is used as a distraction to lure children.

This teaser clip comes a month after Disney+ confirmed the official release date for the sequel. The streaming service announced the film will premiere on September 30, 2022.

Besides the three leads, the ensemble cast will include Whitney Peak (Gossip Girl), Lilia Buckingham (Crown Lake), Belissa Escobedo (Don’t Look Deeper), Tony Hale (Arrested Development), Sam Richardson (The Tomorrow War), Hannah Waddingham (Ted Lasso), Froy Gutierrez (Teen Wolf), Taylor Henderson, Juju Brener and Nina Kitchen.

Don’t mind us, we’ll just be counting down the days until the Hocus Pocus 2 premiere.
