I didn't see that coming

Joanna Gaines is back, baby—and she’s bringing something brand new to our screens.

The home renovation queen and lifestyle mogul recently announced her latest project: a brand-new TV series called Mini Reni. She shared the exciting news on social media, sharing a video and a heartfelt caption explaining how the idea came to life.

“A few years ago, I helped a friend with a small, quick renovation that we called Mini Reni,” she wrote. “It was so much fun that we started doing more and more of these smaller-sized projects all over Waco, and eventually made it into a show!”

In the video, Joanna looks genuinely thrilled to be back doing what she loves. “I can’t wait for you to see these spaces,” she says. “These are honestly some of my favorite projects to design because it’s smaller rooms, tighter timelines and you really get to see how just a few simple additions can make a huge impact on your home.”

The new series will follow Joanna through nine episodes as she tackles bite-sized renovation projects—think quicker timelines, cozier spaces and that signature Magnolia magic we all love. Each episode highlights thoughtful, creative upgrades that prove small changes can still make a big difference.

But if you're wondering, Where's Chip?—you’re not alone. As a longtime Fixer Upper fan, I totally expected this to be another husband-and-wife team-up. But in a shocking twist, this time Joanna is flying solo. It’ll be kind of exciting to see her take center stage and lead these projects on her own. And, let's be real, I was tuning in regardless.

Mini Reni premieres Wednesday, May 14 at 8 p.m. on Magnolia Network and Max. Whether you’re in it for the design inspo or just want your weekly dose of Joanna, this is one show you’ll definitely want to add to your watchlist.
