The New #3 Movie on Netflix Follows a Relentless Detective Seeking Justice

This brand-new Netflix movie is a total must-watch, but we have to warn you, it’s not for the fainthearted.

We’re talking about I Am All Girls, a South African film that recently claimed a spot on Netflix’s list of most-watched movies. (It’s currently ranked at number three behind The Woman in the Window and The Mitchells vs. the Machines.)

So, what is I Am All Girls about? The story begins in 1994 when a young girl named Ntombizonke Bapai (Leshego Molokwane) is kidnapped and taken to a compound, where she (and several other girls who were abducted) are forced into human trafficking.

After spending years in a low-end brothel, adult Ntombizonke (Hlubi Mboya) teams up with the police to target the individuals who are responsible. This includes partnering with Jodie Snyman (Erica Wessels), a detective who’s determined to take down the child-trafficking ring once and for all.

According to the official Netflix description, “A relentless detective finds common ground with a killer systematically targeting the perpetrators running a powerful child-trafficking ring.”

In addition to Molokwane, Mboya and Wessels, the movie also stars Deon Lotz, Masasa Mbangeni, Lizz Meiring, Israel Matseke-Zulu, Brendon Daniels, Mothusi Magano, J.P. du Plessis, Ben Kruger, Federico Fernandez and Matt Stern.

I Am All Girls was directed by Donovan Marsh (Avenged), who also co-wrote the script alongside Wayne Fitzjohn (Redeeming Love), Emile Leuvennink (State of Violence) and Jarrod de Jong (Model).

“Alexa, add it to my streaming queue.”
