Idris Elba & Regina King Take Revenge to a New Level in Must-Watch Netflix Western

This star-studded Netflix movie has all of our favorite things: an action-packed trailer, a heated dual, costumes that look straight out of Westworld and—drumroll, please—Regina King.

The streaming service just dropped the first official teaser for The Harder They Fall, an American Western movie that’s not to be confused with the 1956 boxing movie of the same name.

The trailer opens on Trudy Smith (King) hijacking a train and freeing Rufus Black (Idris Elba) from prison. (Warning: There’s no shortage of blood and violence.)

When Nat Love (Jonathan Majors) catches wind of his longtime rival’s escape, he reassembles his former gang to seek revenge on Rufus, who’s responsible for murdering Nat’s parents.

“I know who you are,” someone says in the clip. “The angel who hunts down those who trespass against him with no mercy.”

According to the official synopsis, “Revenge has never been served colder.”

In addition to King, Majors and Elba, the movie features an all-star cast, including Zazie Beetz, LaKeith Stanfield, Delroy Lindo, Damon Wayans Jr., Danielle Deadwyle, Edi Gathegi and RJ Cyler.

The Harder They Fall was directed by Jeymes Samuel (They Die By Dawn), who also co-wrote the screenplay with Boaz Yakin (Remember the Titans). Samuel also served as a producer alongside Lawrence Bender (Pulp Fiction), G. Mac Brown (The Departed), James Lassiter (I Am Legend) and Shawn Carter Jay-Z (The Great Gatsby).

Unfortunately, Netflix hasn’t released an official premiere date for The Harder They Fall. The trailer says it’s coming this fall, so you can bet we’ll be on the lookout.
