According to Deadline, the streaming platform has renewed the dramedy series for a third and fourth season. This announcement comes only months after the second season premiered on the platform back in January.

And guess what? The popular series will be getting a new showrunner. In addition to the renewal news, Netflix also confirmed that original showrunner Debra J. Fisher, who worked on the show for seasons one and two, will be replaced by Sarah Glinski—who served as a writer on the popular teen drama, Degrassi: The Next Generation

Ginny & Georgia getting renewed for two additional seasons comes as no shock to us at all, considering the show has topped Netflix’s list of top ten shows many times before. (And, might we add, another one of our favorite shows, Virgin River, just got the same renewal treatment with a season six announcement.) We love to see it.

Kinda like a modern-day version of Gilmore Girls, the comedy-drama series follows a mother-daughter duo—Ginny (Antonia Gentry) and Georgia (Brianne Howey)—as they move to a new town and try to navigate their complicated relationship.

First, Virgin River and now this? This week just keeps getting better and better.
