Everything We Know About ‘Fear Street Part Three: 1666’ (the Netflix Trilogy’s Final Installment)

First, there was Fear Street Part One: 1994. Then, there was Fear Street Part Two: 1978. And now, the final installment is here to complete the highly anticipated trilogy.

Netflix is preparing to release the third movie, titled Fear Street Part Three: 1666, on July 16. When it does premiere, we expect it to claim a spot on the streaming service’s list of most-watched movies. It all has to do with its predecessors, which have maintained a high ranking ever since they dropped earlier this month. (They’re currently included among the likes of Major Grom: Plague Doctor, Mother's Day, How I Became a Superhero and Kung Fu Panda.)

So, what is Fear Street Part Three: 1666 about? The movie is a continuation of the first two films. While Part One follows a group of teens who are being targeted in a series of murders, Part Two focuses on the teenagers as they travel back in time to another Shadyside killing spree.

Part Three picks up right where the story left off, with the teens trying to put an end to the curse. To do so, they must go back to where it all began, so they can stop the deadly witch hunt that resulted in consequences for years to come.

Cast members include Julia Rehwald (Katie), Sadie Sink (Ziggy), Kiana Madeira (Deena), Olivia Scott Welch (Sam), Emily Rudd (Cindy), Benjamin Flores Jr. (Josh), Ryan Simpkins (Alice), McCabe Slye (Tommy) and Matthew Zuk (Mayor Will Goode).

The Fear Street trilogy was directed by Leigh Janiak (Honeymoon), who also co-wrote the script (which is based on the namesake book series by R. L. Stine).

We sense a scary movie marathon in our near future.
