This Psychological Thriller Featuring Matt Bomer & ‘Schitt’s Creek’ Star Karen Robinson Is #1 on Netflix After Only 48 Hours

We're always keeping an eye out to see what shows have grabbed the attention of Netflix viewers, and thanks to the streaming site's daily-updated list of most-watched series, we always know what subscribers are consuming the most. This weekend, a brand-new limited series, titled Echoes, quickly moved into the #1 spot, after only 48 hours of being available on the site.

Echoes is an Australian psychological thriller that follows the story of twins Leni and Gina (both played by Michelle Monaghan), who have secretly swapped lives ever since they were kids, trying to live under two separate experiences. However, this well-hidden secret starts to unravel when one of the twins goes missing.

It makes sense that viewers have been drawn to Echoes, not only due to its Parent Trap meets A Simple Favor plotline, but also thanks to its star-studded cast.

In addition to Monaghan, Matt Bomer (White Collar) portrays Leni's husband, Jack, while Daniel Sunjata (Rescue Me) plays Gina's husband, Charlie. Meanwhile, Schitt's Creek fans will likely recognize actress Karen Robinson (AKA Ronnie Lee), who plays a sheriff named Louise Floss in the new mystery series.

Echoes has currently overtaken other major Netflix originals, like Never Have I Ever, which just recently saw the premiere of its 3rd season, as well as the DC comic book adaptation The Sandman.

Vanessa Gazy (Eden) created the series, while also serving as an executive producer alongside Brian Yorkey, Imogen Banks and Quinton Peeples.

All 7 episodes of Echoes are now available to stream on Netflix. We know what we'll be adding to our queue.
