Season three of The White Lotus may have ended weeks ago, but all of my emotions surrounding the heartbreaking finale came flooding back when I spotted Aimee Lou Wood and Patrick Schwarzenegger together on the 2025 Met Gala red carpet.
*Spoilers ahead*
While they may not be a real-life romantic couple (all signs point to them simply being BFFs since filming in Thailand together), I couldn't help but ruminate on their characters' star-crossed connection. While Wood's bubbly Chelsea consistently turned down Schwarzenegger's Saxon's advances out of utter devotion to Rick (who ultimately caused her tragic end), she also gave the eldest Ratliff a new lease on life—and love. Who can forget the gaze he gives her in the final episode as she runs into the arms of her troubled BF?
Perhaps if she had ditched her grumpy beau in favor of the reformed D-bag, she'd still be alive...
Alas, at least we have these two together (and alive) IRL, and looking fabulous in matching suited ensembles. Wood sported a draped tuxedo-inspired number by Ahluwalia, and Schwarzenegger’s trendy striped getup was by Balmain, both absolutely spot on for the night's theme ,”Tailored for You.”
Sorry, Rick—I'm team Chelsea and Saxon forever!
