Nicola Peltz Beckham Put Me on to Her Favorite Sunscreen—and Shared a Brilliant Beauty Hack to Go with It

When she's not acting, writing or directing her own films, Nicola Peltz Beckham can be found flitting across the globe—and, more than occasionally, striking a pose for her photographer husband, Brooklyn Beckham. One thing you won't find her doing, though? Basking in the sun—not unprotected, at least.

The actress/glamazon (who looks just as picture perfect in person, BTW) swears by ISDIN, the Spanish sun and skincare brand that has gone internationally viral for its lightweight—but hardworking—sunscreen products. The latest SPF must-have in its lineup? None other than the ISDIN Fusion Water Magic ($38), a lightweight daily face sunscreen that provides SPF 40 protection and a hefty dose of skin-nourishing ingredients. No wonder Peltz Beckham has embraced it as her new go-to.

"My mom's number one rule was always: Make sure you wear sunblock! And as a kid, you know, you're like 'ugh, mom.' But I am just so thankful that she told me that, and as I get older I'm so strict about it," Peltz Beckham told me at the launch party for the product in New York City. "I just love ISDIN and I love the Fusion Water Magic because it just lays under makeup so beautifully. It's so hydrating, and it doesn't pill or anything."

I can attest. I've been using the product myself almost daily for the past few weeks (thanks for the rec, Nicola!), and find that it soaks right into my skin, leaving no greasy layer or white cast behind. In short, it really does work like magic, and it's perfect for daily wear.

And it can be made even more so with the help of the star's brilliant little beauty hack: "I even put [the Fusion Water Magic] in my hand with a tiny bit of foundation, mix it and put it on. And I feel like it's really tricky to do that with a sunblock because it can get so pill-y, but this one really [works so well] with makeup." While it's always best to put on a straight layer of sunscreen first, Peltz Beckham's method is a great way to get some extra coverage with just the right amount of tint.

In addition to the soaks-right-in texture, the formula stands out for its hero ingredients, including Mediterranean algae extract (a potent antioxidant), hyaluronic acid (for deep hydration) and vitamin E (for neutralizing free radicals). Let's just say it's a skincare powerhouse in a purse-friendly bottle (each one comes in at a TSA-approved 1.7 ounces).

The ever-diligent Peltz Beckham also tries to avoid laying out in the sun altogether—especially after getting super sunburnt during her Palm Beach wedding in 2022. "I had put sunblock on my face, but I didn't put it on my chin down to my arms—and I got burnt so badly! It just shows you that I put a teeny bit on my face, and that was all so protected," she told me. Are those dermatologists cheering in the background, I hear?

Of course, even if you are in the market for some vitamin D, a good sunscreen can go a long way. As for me? I'll be taking a page from Peltz Beckham and applying ISDIN every day this summer—perhaps with a little foundation mixed in for good measure.
