For the longest time, I’ve been struggling to find a brow gel that has a strong hold and can keep my arches in place. (For context, my eyebrows are on the bushier side.) While aimlessly scrolling through TikTok one day, I came across a video of someone testing out the new Benefit Cosmetics Fluff Up Brow Flexible Brow-Texturizing Wax ($26). After hearing her rave review about the product (and seeing that it has a 4 out of 5-star rating on Sephora), I knew I had to get my hands on it. So, does it live up to the hype? Keep reading for my honest review.

First, let’s get into the pros. I love how the Benefit Cosmetics Brow Wax has a light, creamy formula that goes on easily, so it doesn’t feel flaky or look clumpy in the slightest. When it comes to my brows, I usually go for a fluffy, au naturel look, which this wax helped me achieve. To apply the wax, I combed my eyebrows down first, followed by a few upward sweeps. Right away, I noticed my brows looked thicker and fuller.

Note: The product does dry pretty quickly, so I had to rush to sculpt my brows into the shape I wanted. However, once I did, I was pretty satisfied with their overall appearance. Per Benefit’s site, the wax aims to create a “fluffy, full and natural-looking” brow with a “natural-matte finish,” and in my experience, it does exactly that.

OK, now it’s time to talk about the cons. My only real issue with the wax is it didn’t last as long as I hoped. As promised on the brand’s site, the wax is supposed to be a “waterproof, sweatproof and humid proof” product that provides “12 hours of long wear.”

I will say the wax kept my brows in place for most of the day...when I stayed inside. But the moment I stepped outside of my small Brooklyn apartment, in swampy 85-degree weather might I add, I noticed the wax started to lose its hold. And as a result, my brows started to lift a little bit. As a person who sweats A LOT, I have become accustomed to my eyebrows having a mind of their own. Usually by the end of the day, they tend to look extremely unruly. But, with the Benefit Cosmetics Brow Wax, I only saw some minor lifting—which is a huge improvement.

My overall thoughts? I think the Benefit Cosmetics Brow Wax is definitely worth the hype. Sure, it’s a tad expensive considering it’s a small tube at just 0.23 fluid ounces, but it makes my brows look so feathery and full. While I wish it lasted longer in the heat, this buzzy brow wax still gets my stamp of approval.
