My Makeup Routine Costs Less Than $2 a Day. Here’s What I Use
Here’s the thing: My daily routine consists of six products (pretty minimal compared with some). And when totaled together, the cost of all those products is $158. Which sounds like a lot when you consider that they all run out at almost the exact same time, and I have to drop a Benjamin and a half to replenish my stock. But then a silver lining appears out of thin air: Yes, this beauty haul may seemingly cost a pretty penny, but it buys me about three months of consistent use. And when you break it out like that, it means my daily routine costs about $1.75 per wear. OK, OK, suddenly that $40 CC cream doesn’t feel so outrageous. Here’s the rundown.
It Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream with SPF 50+
This blurs imperfections and gives me a radiance that traditional foundation just can’t compete with.
Nudestix Nudies All Over Face Color In Hey, Honey
All the dewiness without the slightest hint of sparkle.
Vapour Velvet Lip Gloss
To further justify this product, I use it for blush, lip stain and eye color. It’s more of a balm than a gloss so it doesn’t leave you super shiny or sticky.
NYX Professional Makeup Micro Brow Pencil
Comparable to the Anastasia Beverly Hills version, but much less expensive. Which is a good thing because (confession) I actually go through about one of these per month.
Milk Makeup KUSH High Volume Mascara
The tube is giant, so it lasts forever. I also love the consistency it provides after about a month of use, when it’s less wet than a brand new one.
Onomie Radical Setting Mist
It keeps my makeup in place all day and it smells like running through a rose garden. That should explain how I go through five ounces so quickly.
