Anna’s Review

Actual time from airport: 20 minutes from Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport

Location: It was OK overall. It wasn’t in the center, center of town, so we still had to Uber to most places, but the rides were really short and cheap.

The bed situation: Everyone had a bed or pull-out couch to sleep on, which is great. But everyone had to share, meaning nobody had their own bed. But our group was totally cool with that.

Top five needs met? Mostly. When it came to amenities, I think we could’ve used another bathroom. The 1.5 bathrooms wound up being kinda tough in practice for eight girls trying to get ready, but not entirely impossible.

Unexpected pros: The lofted porch on the second floor was amazing. We hung out there a bunch and I didn’t even expect it to be that great.

Anna’s overall take: We loved the house, and it was a great place to hang out. I actually wish we got to hang there more. We made breakfast there, but no real cooking even though the kitchen was really big, so definitely could have cooked a meal there. Our weekend was packed with activities, so the downtime at the house was minimal. We spent an afternoon at a rooftop bar, back home to change and then dinner at The Grey, which was amazing! Another day we did a Pedal Pub, which gave us a good glimpse of the city. Our last night we had dinner at The Collins Quarter, which is right on the corner of a cute park.

In the mornings, I went on a run to Forsyth Park, and on my way back got coffees for the house from a cute coffee shop, Brewed. There was also a grocery and liquor store within walking distance of the house. One morning we had breakfast at Back In The Day Bakery, which was about an eight-to-ten minute walk.

We took Ubers to River Street, which had a lot of the restaurants and bars, and they were no longer than ten minutes and $10.

Anna’s Final Recommendation

I recommend this place for a big group, for sure! It was under $100 per person, which was amazing. I think if I went back with just a few friends I might do a hotel closer to River Street, but for the occasion and crowd I was with, it was the right house for the right occasion.
