The Reason Chloe Kim Didn't Cry After Winning Gold Is Shockingly Relatable

Chloe Kim is a 17-year-old snowboarding phenom who last week became the youngest woman ever to win an Olympic snowboarding medal, taking home gold in the women’s halfpipe.

Pretty emotional, right? You'd think, but Kim managed not to cry during the medal ceremony. It turns out, that was on purpose.

Talking to NBC’s Savannah Guthrie, Kim revealed the hilarious (and relatable) reason she kept her eyes dry while receiving her medal. I was trying so hard to hold the tears back, ’cause I was like, ‘I can’t cry right now. I can’t do this. I worked so hard on my eyeliner,’” she said.

Wildly talented, adorably charming and good at makeup? What can't this girl do?
