If there's anything we learned this past week, it's that blue is definitely Venus Williams's color.
The tennis star recently debuted aqua-colored box braids on Instagram and, since then, Williams has been coordinating her stylish outfits to match her bold new hair. In her most recent posts, the 40-year-old can be seen wearing different shades of blue and we're totally getting mermaid vibes.
For her first post, Williams rocked a baby blue top with red leggings as she playfully serenaded her dog. And as an added treat, fans also caught a glimpse of her stunning backyard pool, which actually matches her new hair color. She wrote, "You know the feeling when you have pets. They just never want to come in when you want them to. So I’m leaving the door open so he can come in when he’s ready."
In response, one fan wrote, "The blue hair is [fire emojis]."
Williams then posted a series of photos from her training sessions, where she's seen wearing blue leggings and a matching top. She wrote, "Fooling around bc it’s finally Friday. And I’m really tired from the extreme physical push from this week and the last few weeks. But GOD it feels good to get better and put in the work and nothing feels better than paying the price! Shout out to coach @erichechtman for being the brains of this operation and putting up with me!"
The athlete also shared a third look while practicing on an outdoor tennis court and fans just can't get over her hair and matching outfit. One fan wrote, "This hair is giving me life [fire emoji]." Another commented, "When your hair matches your skirt. #nextlevelfashion."
We get the feeling Venus will be serving even more fabulous looks with her bold new hair—and we're so here for it.
