Tracee Ellis Ross was turning heads with her new power suit earlier this week.
The Black-ish star showed up to 2022 Oscar nominations event (over video chat) rocking a dark blue, checkered suit with a pair of silver, drop earrings. With a slicked-back bun, she sported a natural beat, consisting of rose-colored lipstick and peach eyeshadow.
While poking fun at the fact that she had to wake up SUPER early to announce the nominees, Tracee wasn’t afraid to show her goofy side in front of the camera.
The 49-year-old actress posted a video of herself laying down, legs in the air, posing her feet to create a “dancer pose.” In the IG video, we hear someone comment on her stance, and then Tracee responds (in a comical manner) by changing to multiple positions.
“I’m sorry, what now?” the Girlfriends alum says, showing off her impressive arches.
Fans couldn’t stop talking about her stylish ensemble in the comments. “Gorgeous,” one fan commented with an array of red heart emojis. Another fan admired her elegant blue power suit, writing, “Blue power suit for the win.”
For the televised event, Tracee was joined by actor Leslie Jordan. Among the nominees they announced, there were a few history-making heavy hitters. Will Smith (to name one) earned an Oscar nomination in the Best Actor category for the biopic, King Richard.
He was also honored with a Best Picture nomination alongside fellow producers Trevor and Tim White, making him the second Black man (with Denzel Washington being the first) to be nominated for both acting and producing the same film in one year.
Speaking of Denzel, the Hollywood veteran snagged an Oscar nomination as well. The 67-year-old actor earned a nomination for Best Actor for his performance in The Tragedy of Macbeth, making him the most-nominated Black actor in Academy Awards history.
While this year’s Academy Awards are setting up to be one for the books, we'll also be keeping our eyes peeled for even more gorgeous looks from Tracee.
