On Your Mark. Get Set. Bake! ‘The Great British Baking Show’ Has a New Trailer & Return Date

Bake Off is here, baby! And we couldn’t be more ready to get back into the tent.

That’s right—The Great British Baking Show is finally returning for its 11th season despite dealing with some delays due to the coronavirus pandemic. This new season of the competition show wrapped filming in July (don’t worry, all contestants and crew quarantined for 14 days prior to filming). Viewers will be happy to see Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith returning as judges. However, Noel Fielding will be joined by a new cohost this year: comedian and actor Matt Lucas.

Channel 4 announced the news along with a list of contestants in an Instagram post on Tuesday. “Here they come, rolling up their sleeves,” the caption read. “They bake the tastiest treats, for everyone they meet. Hey hey, it’s the bakers! And Series 11’s coming around! They’re so busy baking, and one winner will be crowned. #GBBO. Tuesday 22nd September. 8 pm.” And did we mention there’s also a trailer?

So, who will be competing to win Star Baker this time around? Well, by the looks of the lineup, the cast ranges from ages 20 to 61 and includes teachers, artists, pharmacists, students, security guards and more.

Unfortunately, while the new season premieres in the U.K. later this month, still no word on the exact date when we can watch it on Netflix from across the pond. Luckily, there’s a handful of other seasons still currently available on the streaming platform, so you can get a fill of all the Signature, Technical and Showstopper Challenges your heart desires.

In Noel’s own words, “On your mark. Get set. Bake!”
