Um, ‘The Bachelor’ Has a ‘Ring Graveyard’ of Unused Sparklers

Have you ever wondered what happens to the engagement rings of failed Bachelor couples? Well, according to former Bachelorette Becca Kufrin, it’s even more morbid than we originally thought.

The 29-year-old reality star recently appeared on an episode of The Ringer’s Bachelor Party podcast. While discussing the Neil Lane accessory she received (and then returned) from Arie Luyendyk Jr., Kufrin revealed that producers have a collection of breakup rings.

Not only did she confirm that there’s a designated area where they keep “scorned rings,” but Kufrin also referred to it as a “ring graveyard.” Just let that sink in.

So, How Many Rings Are There?

It’s hard to tell, since the number is probably much higher than the seasons alone. While not every couple stays together, it’s important to remember that a typical Bachelor finale usually involves two proposals. Although the winner only chooses one person, the final two contestants both come prepared with engagement rings.

In total, there have been 23 seasons of The Bachelor (not including Peter Weber), and 15 seasons of The Bachelorette. A few couples have beat the odds, meaning some rings are currently in use.

Still, that makes an estimated 70-plus Neil Lane accessories in this “ring graveyard,” and that’s not even counting Bachelor in Paradise, which is losing its credibility with every called off engagement. (No offense, Katie Morton and Chris Bukowski.)

One question still remains: Are the scorned rings up for grabs? Asking for a friend…
