With the announcement of Taylor Swift's new album, The Life of a Showgirl, Swifties everywhere went into full-blown excitement mode. Between decoding theories and chasing every possible Easter egg, fans are understandably obsessed. But there’s one major detail I haven’t seen anyone talking about: the jewelry.

When Taylor first dropped the album cover, she was draped in serious sparkle—precious stones, dripping diamonds and the whole look submerged underwater. One of her multiple limited releases, The Life of a Showgirl: “It’s Beautiful,” gives us an even more glam shot of Taylor in a full bejeweled ensemble, complete with an ornate headpiece. It’s jaw-droppingly stunning. And as it turns out, so is the price tag.

Maxwell Stone, a diamond expert at UK jeweler Steven Stone, broke it all down, stating, "On the cover and throughout the promo images of The Life of a Showgirl, Taylor Swift shines in a dazzling constellation of extraordinary jewels, each piece chosen with the meticulous eye of a true curator of glamour."

Noting that the jewels are the work of Lorraine Schwartz, Stone shares that Taylor is wearing custom sculptural drop earrings, pavé diamond cuffs, a bold pink pearl ring and a sapphire-and-diamond bracelet. And that's not all.

"Layered atop this foundation of elegance are Zydo Italy’s 18-karat white gold domed stretch bracelet and cascading diamond chandelier earrings; Stephanie Gottlieb’s 17-carat multi-coloured diamond bracelet, bursting with playful brilliance; Athens-based Etho Maria’s ruby drop earrings, rich with 38.88 carats of fiery rubies; the delicate, butterfly-inspired diamond studs by Anabela Chan; and Le Vian’s Art Deco-inspired Vanilla Gold ring," Stone elaborates.

After evaluating the custom pieces and factoring in retail values of the rest, Stone estimates that Taylor is wearing close to $920,000 worth of jewelry.

Yes, nearly a million dollars in glam.
