If you, like us, already binge-watched your way through Stranger Things season two, have no fear: Season three is in the works. Here’s what we know thus far.
When can we expect the third installment to hit Netflix, you may ask? Unfortunately, series creators Matt and Ross Duffer (aka the Duffer brothers) only began working on season three last month, and since it took more than a year for season two to come to fruition, your next Stranger Things binge marathon will likely have to wait until late 2018.
However, we do know that season three will feature another time jump and further explore the show’s young characters—Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), Mike (Finn Wolfhard), Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo), Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin) and Will (Noah Schnapp)—as they venture into their teen years. While the Mind Flayer-cum-shadow-monster will likely play a role in the next installment, the Duffer brothers revealed that they want season three to focus more on the characters’ personal growth. Oh, and Lucas’s scene-stealing sister, Erica (Priah Ferguson), will get a more prominent role. #Blessed
In the meantime, we can only hope Dustin’s Steve-inspired ’do will make a well-deserved cameo in season three.
