Sophie Turner Looks Fierce as Hell in ‘X-Men: Dark Phoenix’ First-Look Photos

We still have a long way to go until Game of Thrones returns to HBO in 2019, but these first-look photos of Sophie Turner are just the spark we needed during this dreaded Westeros hiatus.

Entertainment Weekly just revealed the cover of its December issue featuring Turner as Jean Grey in the upcoming mutant film X-Men: Dark Phoenix. But instead of the iconic fur coat and braid look we’re used to seeing on Sansa Stark, Turner’s ensemble gives a whole new meaning to the Katniss-coined term “girl on fire.”

In the photo, Turner gives her best smize eyes while flames casually spew from her head and seep out of cracks on her face.

Turner first appeared as Grey in X-Men: Apocalypse in 2016. But unlike the prequel, Dark Phoenix will offer a deeper look into her psychic abilities and the destruction that follows.

We have no doubt Arya would be proud. X-Men: Dark Phoenix hits theaters on November 2, 2018.
