Sophie, Countess of Wessex Kicks Off Caribbean Tour in Chic, Red Shirtdress

It was only last month that Prince William and Kate Middleton took a royal tour of the Caribbean, where the Duchess of Cambridge caught our eye in a number of stunning outfits, including a dazzling green gown, a pink zebra shirtdress and other showstopping designs. Now, it appears that Sophie, Countess of Wessex, is looking to make the same impression with her ensembles.

As the royal landed in Saint Lucia with her husband, Prince Edward, for their Platinum Jubilee Royal Tour of the Caribbean, the countess opted for a bright red shirtdress from Giuliva Heritage. The brand's Dora dress was made from a silk and wool blend and it features two breast pockets, buttons down the bodice and a matching belt at the waistline. Sophie paired the bold design with a pair of white Eliza wedge slingback sandals from Chloé and she carried her go-to Tahiti bag from Sophie Habsburg in beige.

We got a good look at the countess's ensemble in a post that was made to the royal family Instagram account, too. In this post, her royal tour with Prince Edward was further detailed, as they said, “In The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee year, Their Royal Highnesses will also visit St Vincent and the Grenadines and Antigua and Barbuda, where they will meet communities, local entrepreneurs and young people in celebration of the culture, future and vibrancy of the islands.”

As we've previously learned, this year is Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee, which signifies the fact that she has served the throne for 70 years (and is the first British monarch to do so). And to mark this special occasion, various members of her family have been embarking on special royal tours.

We can't wait to see what other fashion Sophie pulls out.
