Newly-Married Simone Biles Says She Has Four More Wedding Dresses Yet to Unveil

Simone Biles, 26, and her now-husband, Jonathan Owens, 27, just said “I do” in a private wedding ceremony over the weekend. During the special event, Biles rocked a beautiful white wedding dress from Selfie Leslie—but, as it turns out, the gown is just one of several wedding dresses she has picked out.

In a Q&A segment on her Instagram Story, one of her followers asked how many dresses she plans to wear for her big upcoming destination wedding (FYI, this past weekend’s wedding was a courthouse ceremony without guests or a reception).

To that question, Biles revealed that she has four wedding dresses picked out for the occasion, and casually noted, “Kind of dramatic, but you only have a wedding day once.” (Even though in this case, it does appear Biles is having a wedding day twice.)

Biles also discussed how they have a bigger wedding ceremony planned and that it’s scheduled to take place in a couple of weeks. The Olympic gold medalist went on to explain why she and Owens chose to have an intimate celebration initially. “We had to ‘legally’ here in the United States—since our wedding will be a destination wedding,” Biles shared with her followers.

Just last week, Biles posted a photo of herself standing in what appears to be a bridal shop on her Instagram Story. In the mirror snap, Biles is striking a pose while rocking a black tank top, shorts and a chocolate brown leather jacket.

In a caption at the bottom of the photo, the soon-to-be-wife shares that she is picking up her wedding dresses.

In another photo posted to her IG Story, she is sitting down in a chair with two big suitcases in front of her. The picture reads, “Dresses secured.”

Back in March 2022, Biles revealed that she picked out multiple wedding dresses for her special day. A photo posted on Instagram shows the athlete going wedding dress shopping at Galia Lahav L.A. Biles shared in the caption: “Said yes to the dress(es).”

In addition, Biles and Owens shared last week that they had officially obtained their marriage license on Instagram. In a post (shared on Biles’s personal IG page), the couple appears to be all smiles as they hold up the certified document.

The caption read, “Almost time to say ‘I do,’” along with paper and white heart emojis.

Seems like we’ll be hearing wedding bells again very soon.
