Shailene Woodley Now Has Baby Fever Thanks to ‘Big Little Lies’ Season 3

Just because she plays a mom in Big Little Lies doesn’t mean Shailene Woodley is ready for a child of her own…yet.

The 27-year-old actress recently attended the Balmain show during Paris Fashion Week, where she chatted about her character, Jane Chapman, and revealed that she’s developing baby fever thanks to her TV son, Ziggy (played by Iain Armitage).

“It’s great, but I want little babies so bad now,” she told WWD. “Although the best thing about playing a mom on TV is you get to send them home at the end of the day with their real parents.”

Woodley also discussed what it was like working with Meryl Streep, who is joining the season two cast as the late Perry’s (Alexander Skarsgård) mother, Mary Louise Wright.

“It was exactly as you would imagine working with Meryl Streep to be; she’s a legend for a reason. The woman can act her face off,” she continued. “She really is a master of her craft. That’s sort of a lost art in acting these days, so working with her was a beautiful reminder of why we do what we do and showed me how to grow that skill set.”

Big Little Lies is based on Liane Moriarty’s novel of the same name. Although it was originally meant for a one-season run, the show’s success prompted HBO to renew it for another season, which will follow the housewives after the surprise ending.

How will it affect Jane’s relationship with Ziggy? Guess we’ll have to wait until season two of BLL premieres on HBO this June.
