Serena Williams just served as a bridesmaid in a wedding, and surprisingly, her halter dress didn’t come with a hefty price tag.
Over the weekend, the professional tennis player, 38, attended the nuptials of her sister-in-law, Hayley Ohanian. Acting as a bridesmaid, Williams wore the Kaleigh style in Candy Pink by Azazie Kaleigh, which isn’t nearly as expensive as it looks.
In fact, the bridesmaid dress retails for $129. While it’s not necessarily cheap, we’ve all heard horror stories about brides forcing their friends to shell out $500-plus for a gown they’ll wear once. So, we’ll take what we can get.
The floor-length dress is constructed from a chiffon material, making it ideal for travel. The frock features a halter V-neck that is fixated in the back, so you don’t have to worry about it coming untied mid-YMCA.
Oh, and did we mention the dress style comes in 66 different colors? Talk about an indecisive person’s worst nightmare.
Williams documented the moment on Instagram and wrote, “She took her flower girl job very seriously!!! @hexner14 @js_poodles congrats. So happy for you both.”
