Serena Williams knows how to make a fashion statement, and if you need proof, just look at her Instagram feed. You'll notice many of her showstopping outfits, from the monochromatic pink ensemble at the Breast Cancer Research Foundation’s Hot Pink Luncheon to the dazzling see-through gown—complete with a gravity-defying slit—at Vanity Fair's Oscar Party. Even so, the 23-time Grand Slam singles champion managed to outdo herself when she stepped out for the 2025 TIME100 Gala.

In April, Williams hit the red carpet in a black, off-the-shoulder cut-out dress by Stella McCartney. She completed the look with matching heels, opera gloves, a statement diamond necklace and a matching set of earrings. She wrote, "So much fun at @time, thanks for having me!"

One fan commented, "Serena, you look absolutely stunning from head to toe!" Another said, "Your makeup and hair look gorgeous." Even Trigger Warning star Jessica Alba added to the influx of compliments and wrote, "Stunning," complete with a trio of fire emojis.

Williams followed up with another post from the event to showcase two major highlights: fangirling over her "favorite Avenger," Scarlett Johansson, and reuniting with her pal Simone Biles.

Williams wrote, "The highlight of my night meeting my favorite #Avenger Scarlett Johansson. And of course, being reunited with my new doubles partner @simonebiles." In the comments, Biles wrote, "Coming soon to a court near you."

The proud mom of two and retired athlete has served memorable looks both on and off the tennis court, and she has been quite vocal about her affinity for unique fashion looks, especially since she has always been in the public eye. In March, she told InStyle, “Having to deal with scrutiny…I think that has enabled me to be confident in whatever I put on. Growing up and wearing different outfits when I play tennis, and really just being a fashionista out there…I realized I don't like blending in. I like things that are different. I like things that stand out.”

Williams, who recently launched a limited edition clothing line in partnership with Janie and Jack, discussed her desire to pass down this quality to her daughters, adding, "I think it's important that you build confidence and let them do what they want to do."

Sounds like Olympia and Adira will grow up to be fashion queens, just like their mom.
