Take a Tour of Reese Witherspoon’s Malibu Home
There’s no denying that Madeline Martha Mackenzie’s house on Big Little Lies is as pristine as it gets. While Reese Witherspoon isn’t nearly as uptight as the character in real life (thank goodness), she’s no stranger to gorgeous real estate.
The 44-year-old actress is currently self-isolating at her family’s home in Malibu, which is located above Zuma Beach. Witherspoon purchased the charming farmhouse last year for $6.25 million and has been sharing snippets of the abode on social media.
So, we compiled a list of photos that offer an unofficial tour of Witherspoon’s home. Keep scrolling for all the deets.
1. Reading Nook
Just because Tennessee isn’t interested in reading doesn’t mean he can’t enjoy this built-in nook. It features conveniently placed shelves, drawers and a padded cushion, which is practically calling our name.
2. Family room
The main space features a long wooden table (which is ideal for arts and crafts), along with a cozy sectional couch that overlooks the backyard. Bonus points for lots of natural light.
3. Dining area
Remember that long wooden table? Well, here it is again—but this time, the pic shows the other side of the room, which leads to the kitchen. Everything from the rustic décor to the pops of blue look straight out of Sweet Home Alabama, and we’re not surprised whatsoever.
Witherspoon’s backyard is as green as it gets. No, really. Not only is it filled with all sorts of foliage, but it’s also flourishing, with not a single dead plant in sight. Green thumb? Check.
It’s hard to tell from the pic, but this bedroom gives off a classic vibe. The bed is at the center of the room, accompanied by an adjacent dresser and mirror. Not to mention, it a has a door that leads to the luscious backyard.
Just like the rest of the house, this room is a rustic lover’s dream. In addition to top-notch appliances, the galley kitchen features hardwood floors, blue cabinets and intricate wallpaper to tie it all together.
