It's basically an antique

The Royal Ascot has officially wrapped and while the five-day event is technically about horse racing, let’s be honest—we’re all here for the fashion. With appearances from royals like Prince William, Princess Anne and more, this year’s style moments did not disappoint. And once again, Queen Camilla stunned with a truly jaw-dropping piece of royal bling.

Earlier in the week, she turned heads with a brooch reportedly worth a cool $2.5 million. But for the grand finale? She went even bigger—well, historically speaking. On the final day, Queen Camilla stepped out in an all-white outfit paired with a wide-brimmed hat featuring black and white details. It was chic, classic and totally regal. But it was her brooch that stole the spotlight (again).

This wasn’t just any brooch—it was a royal heirloom that hadn’t been seen in public since 1936. The two-part piece dates all the way back to 1893 and features a diamond-studded triple-loop bow with a solitaire stone at the center. Hanging from that is a short diamond chain leading to a circular, floral-inspired pendant completely encrusted in more diamonds.

According to diamond expert Maxwell Stone of UK jeweller Steven Stone, “Queen Camilla’s most unexpected jewelry moment this week came with the debut of the Rothschild brooch—a dazzling royal heirloom not seen in nearly a century.”

He added that it was “originally gifted to the future Queen Mary as a wedding present in the summer of 1893,” and later worn by the Queen Mother when she was still the Duchess of York. “Remarkably, it was last worn in 1936 and has remained out of the public eye ever since.”

And the value of this antique stunner? Stone estimates it’s worth around £80,000—which translates to nearly $109,000 USD.

Honestly, Queen Camilla has been serving when it comes to statement jewels lately, and this throwback moment might be her best yet. Can’t wait to see what she pulls out of the vault next.
