Princess Sofia of Sweden Shares Rare Photos of Her Kids from Family Trip

Coronavirus isn’t stopping Princess Sofia and Prince Carl Philip from having a fun, family-filled summer.

On Wednesday, the Swedish royal couple shared photos of themselves and their two sons, Alexander and Gabriel, from their recent visit to Nynäs Nature Reserve. In the Instagram snaps, we see the group enjoying a picnic on the water and going for a stroll in the woods. Not to mention, they also went swimming in Lake Gisesjön with their cute little pup.

“In connection with Alexander's baptism, he, as Duke of Södermanland, received a symbolic baptismal gift in the form of an accessibility-adapted vantage point in Nynäs nature reserve,” the couple captioned the post. “We highly recommend the place! Here we come for a picnic on the cliffs at beautiful Lake Gises, swimming and walking.”

This isn’t the first little adventure this royal gang has been on this summer. Last week, Sofia and Carl Philip took their 4-year-old and 2-year-old on a bike ride and shared photos of themselves looking athletic-chic. Not to mention, Prince Alexander even made friends with an adorable white rabbit.

Aside from her family staycations, the Duchess of Värmland also traded her gowns for scrubs in recent months. The princess was working as a medical assistant at the Sophiahemmet hospital and posted her new job title on her Instagram.

Since 2016, she’s been the honorary chairman of the Stockholm hospital. Before starting her new volunteer role, she underwent a three-day emergency online training course from the Sophiahemmet University. She joined 80 others who are helping the overwhelmed hospital, according to People.

The phrase “work hard play hard” seems rather fitting for this princess.
