Princess Mary of Denmark Rewears Velvet Dress for the Fourth Time

Just because she’s royal doesn’t mean Crown Princess Mary of Denmark is against recycling outfits. In fact, the 47-year-old recently wore her go-to New Year’s Eve look…for the fourth time.

It all started earlier this week when Princess Mary attended the family’s annual New Year reception in Copenhagen. The mom of four wore a gorgeous burgundy velvet dress, which featured a floor-length silhouette and a flattering neckline.

If the outfit looks familiar, it’s probably because the princess has worn the same dress three times before. The best part? She always wears it to the exact same event (the New Year reception) and dons similar accessories, including a brooch, a flashy necklace and a sparkly tiara.

Princess Mary first debuted the dress back in 2007. At the time, she was pregnant with her second child, Princess Isabella (12). Since then, she has worn the gown on three more occasions. Apart from the velvet choker she added in 2014, the royal hasn’t changed very much about the look over the years.

Obviously, Princess Mary isn’t the only royal to repeat outfits in public. It’s a well-known fact that Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle have been guilty of it on multiple occasions, too.

Royals, they’re just like us…even when it comes to recyclable fashion.
