Princess Eugenie Still Celebrates Her Divorced Parents’ Wedding Anniversary. Here’s Why

Just because Princess Eugenie’s parents, Sarah Ferguson and Prince Andrew, are divorced, doesn’t mean the 29-year-old royal can’t celebrate their wedding anniversary.

Today, Princess Eugenie posted a throwback photo on Instagram and revealed that she nearly forgot her parents’ 33rd anniversary.

The princess shared a photo from the couple’s nuptials and wrote, “Who else has ever forgotten to congratulate their parents on their wedding anniversary! I’m a day late but I wanted to celebrate my parents getting married 33 years ago… Thank you for always being the best of friends and bringing us up together.”

Back in July 1986, Prince Andrew and Ferguson tied the knot at Westminster Abbey in London. After six years of marriage, the couple announced their split in 1992 and officially divorced four years later.

Despite their separation, the couple have remained close while they co-parented their two daughters, Eugenie and Princess Beatrice (30). In fact, they regularly make joint appearances and even live together at the Royal Lodge in Windsor.

Happy (belated) anniversary, you two.
