Princess Beatrice Goes Makeup-Free in New Wedding Anniversary Pic Posted by Husband Edo

As far as royal weddings go, Princess Beatrice’s wedding to Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi might be one of my favorites.

It was the start of a global pandemic and “minimonies” and “micro-weddings” were trending. Out of nowhere came stunning pics of Beatrice and Edo two months after their May 2020 nuptials had to unfortunately be postponed. They’re surrounded by members of the royal family—Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip included—in a secret garden of sorts, but also at a Windsor-based ceremony that was well within the government-imposed guidelines for crowd size at the time. Most striking was the touching nod to the bride’s grandmother: Bea wore a re-purposed Norman Hartnell gown of Queen Elizabeth’s. It was, well, out of a fairy tale.

Flash forward five years and Beatrice and Edo now have two children, Sienna, 3, and Athena, who was born in January this year. (Bea is also stepmom to Edo’s son from his first marriage, Christopher Woolf, now 9.) In honor of their anniversary today, Edo took to Instagram to post a pic of himself with Beatrice—and it was surprisingly low-key.

The pair are pictured on a Scottish beach, with a crystal clear ocean glimmering behind them. Edo is barefoot while Beatrice is in ripped jeans. But most notably, Bea is also makeup-free. (She looks amazing, BTW.)

Edo’s caption? “Happy 5th anniversary to my incredible partner, the most beautiful and amazing wife. I cherish every moment we’ve spent together and am deeply grateful for our journey. Here’s to countless more years filled with laughter and tons of love!” He signed off with a heart emoji, but also a nod to a beloved location for the pair: Scotland. (Like her granddaughter, Queen Elizabeth also cherished this spot.)

Time flies when you’re having fun? More than anything, it’s great to see this royal duo enjoying a tiara-free moment together.
