Celebrations are in order for Princess Anne. Her milestone birthday is almost here and Buckingham Palace just released a brand new portrait—and I noticed something different about her. In the new image, the Princess Royal is sporting a new hairdo and it looks royally amazing. Just check it out for yourself.

The photo features Princess Anne and her husband Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence smiling brightly for the camera. A closer look and you'll notice something new about the Princess Royal. She replaced her signature voluminous 'do with a polished chignon. She also paired it with a stunning tiara, a pop of color on her lips and an all-white gown.

The image is actually from July, when she attended the State Banquet for the French President Emmanuel Macron and First Lady Brigitte Macron. The rest of the royal family was also in attendance to welcome the couple to the U.K.

It's a big birthday this year as she will be turning 75 on August 15, though our royals expert Rachel Bowie reports the Princess Royal will be keeping things chill this year by most likely sailing with her husband around western Scotland.
But before any festivities, Princess Anne has been keeping herself busy. She recently made an appearance at the Dublin Horse Show's official opening day. According to the royal family Instagram account, she spent time touring the special exhibition and meeting with charity representatives.
