It appears Princess Charlotte is taking after her dad’s good looks, considering Prince William accidentally thought a childhood photo of himself was actually his daughter. Whoops!
It all started earlier this week when the Duke of Cambridge, 37, visited the Khidmat Centre in Bradford, England, alongside his wife, Kate Middleton. While there, the couple was presented with a cake adorned with photos representing their life together.
When Prince William spotted a childhood pic, he had to confirm that it was, in fact, little William. “Is that me?” he asked, according to The Sun. “Doesn’t it look like Charlotte?” Classic mix-up.
Middleton agreed with the prince, saying, “It looks so much like Charlotte.”
After leaning in for a closer look, Prince William expressed his disbelief. “Is that me? That looks just like Charlotte,” he continued. “That’s incredible, I haven’t seen that before. Very alike in similarity.”
The photo was taken during a visit to Playscape when Prince William was just ten years old. When placed next to a photo of Princess Charlotte, the resemblance is uncanny. Everything from the eyes to the smile screams doppelgänger, and there’s no denying it.
Like father, like daughter.
