Prince William Looked Dapper in a Green Velvet Blazer at Centerpoint’s Charity Gala Last Night

Prince William is suiting up for a good cause—this time, in a green velvet blazer.

The Duke of Cambridge stepped out on Wednesday evening for the Centrepoint’s 50th anniversary gala. For the occasion, William opted for a green velvet blazer by Reiss (a brand also beloved by Kate Middleton). He paired the jacket ($366) with a bow tie and crisp white shirt and we are seriously impressed with this style choice.

The slim-fit, single-breasted jacket features peak lapels, a single-button fastening and buttoned cuffs. Sophisticated indeed.

The duke has been a patron the charity, which aims to tackle youth homelessness, since 2005. The star-studded event included performances by singers Rita Ora, Hussain Manawer and Duran Duran. A number of other celebrities also supported the cause, including Ellie Goulding (an ex of Prince Harry) and William’s cousin, Princess Beatrice.

The official @KensingtonRoyal Instagram page even shared a video from the evening’s event, including part the duke’s speech.

“Centrepoint was one of the first charities of which I became Patron, back in 2005,” William said in his speech. “I chose to do that because visiting Centrepoint’s services with my mother made such a lasting impression on me as a child. And it still makes a lasting impression on me today.”

Earlier that day, the prince stopped by Centrepoint’s new seven-bedroom Apprenticeship House, which is part of a wider initiative that’s developing housing services for young people in London and Manchester.

Green and velvet for a good cause? We’re totally here for it.
