Young Prince Philip Looks So Much Like Prince Harry in Newly Resurfaced Photo

Prince Harry clearly takes after his late grandpa, Prince Philip, at least according to this rare vintage photo.

In response to Prince Philip’s tragic passing, several throwback pictures have been resurfacing on social media. However, this one in particular caught our eye simply because we had to do a double take to confirm that it’s Prince Philip, not Prince Harry.

The photo was featured on the 1957 cover of Paris Match, though it was re-shared on Instagram by royal photographer Chris Jackson. The candid pic shows Prince Philip riding in a carriage while dressed in full military uniform.

The royal was around 36 years old when the picture was taken, and there’s no denying the resemblance to his grandson (also 36). Everything from their striking blue eyes to their unkempt red beards screams doppelgänger, and we can’t believe we didn’t see it sooner.

Last week, the British royal family announced that Prince Philip had passed away at age 99. Shortly after the news broke, Prince Harry released a heartfelt statement honoring the late prince. “My grandfather was a man of service, honor and great humor. He was authentically himself, with a seriously sharp wit, and could hold the attention of any room due to his charm—and also because you never knew what he might say next,” it read.

Guess Prince Harry is more like his family than he cares to admit.
