Royal Baby Alert! Prince Guillaume of Luxembourg Welcomes Second Child

Alert the royal guards because another little one is joining Luxembourg's royal family.

Today, the Grand Ducal court announced on Instagram that Hereditary Prince Guillaume and his wife, Hereditary Princess Stéphanie, have expanded their family by one. The couple welcomed their second child, a baby boy named François Henri Luis Marie Guillaume, this morning at the Grand Duchess Charlotte Maternity Hospital in Luxembourg.

The palace announced the exciting news by releasing a statement that read: “The prince, who will bear the first names of François Henri Luis Marie Guillaume, weighs 3.575 (7lbs 8 oz) and measures 53cm. Princess Stephanie and the baby are doing well. The Heir Couple, as well as his brother, Charles, are eager to introduce you to Prince François.”

Proud dad Prince Guillaume is the heir apparent to the crown of Luxembourg. Therefore, Prince François is third in line to the throne after his dad and his big brother, Prince Charles (2).

Prince Guillaume met his now-wife back in 2004 when he attended an event in Germany. The couple dated for two years before announcing their engagement. In October 2012, the prince tied the knot with Princess Stéphanie at Cathedral of Our Lady of Luxembourg. The bride wore a gorgeous gown by Elie Saab, which featured sparkly embellishments, and accessorized with a diamond tiara.

Congratulations to the proud parents!
