Portia de Rossi is an actress, philanthropist and unbelievable gift-giver—especially when it comes to her wife, Ellen DeGeneres.
If you recall, de Rossi rang in DeGeneres's 60th birthday last year with an incredible present: The Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund next to Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda, a center for education, tourism and scientific research. On top of that, she set up The Ellen DeGeneres Wildlife Fund, a foundation working to protect and advocate for the world’s most vulnerable animals and wildlife. Not too shabby.
After last year's gift extravaganza, de Rossi stopped by Ellen yesterday to reveal this year's gift.
Drumroll please...gardening tools.
LOLZ. To be fair, we think last year's gift was baller enough that Portia can coast a bit for the next few birthdays. (Not to knock gardening tools—de Rossi explained her choice by saying that DeGeneres "loves gardening.")
