Peter Weber Is ‘Very Close’ to His ‘Bachelor’ Producer, According to ABC Exec

We’re hours away from finding out how Peter Weber’s season of The Bachelor ends. While we originally thought that the producer theory was highly unlikely (compared to Madison Prewitt’s evidence), this brand-new interview with ABC executive Rob Mills is making us think otherwise.

Here’s what you need to know: Rumors have been swirling about Weber and his producer, Julie LaPlaca, who was spotted hanging out with the 28-year-old pilot after The Bachelor wrapped production. Mills recently addressed the gossip in an interview with Variety, and while he didn’t give too much away, he confirmed that Weber and LaPlaca have a special relationship.

“I can’t really comment,” he said. “He is very, very close to her. She’s the producer who is sort of his day-to-day producer, so she’s there with him, and she knows Peter very well and knows his family very well. They’re all very fond of her. That is all I will say.”

The comment is highly suspicious, especially since Chris Harrison also addressed the theory and low-key confirmed what we all saw coming. “It’s an intimate relationship,” he said. “You spend that much time together, we all get close. Sometimes those lines get blurred.”

The Bachelor Nation host also revealed that there are no “rules” on the show, just as long as the pilot ends up happy. “The only rules are: Peter needs to have the best opportunities to find love,” he continued. “If something were to mess that up, then we would step in.”

This should be…interesting. The Bachelor finale airs tonight, March 9, at 8 p.m. on ABC, followed by the two-hour conclusion on Tuesday, March 10.
