‘Bachelor’ Star Peter Weber Responds to Critics of His ‘Dumb Decisions’ on the Show

If you’ve spent a majority of The Bachelor season 24 yelling at your TV or, er, Peter Weber for his choices, then allow him to explain himself.

The 28-year-old pilot opened up about his decisions on The Bachelor when he visited Bachelor Nation fixture Nick Viall’s podcast The Viall Files. What he had to say may surprise you (and also make you feel kind of bad for him).

Speaking of his experience, Weber told Viall, “I don’t think I ever expected to have this many opinions about my love life. I knew I was going to go on and be the Bachelor and people were going to have opinions, but this is insane.” FYI: Between bringing back Alayah, being tempted by Hannah Brown and keeping Victoria F. on the show, Weber has gotten a lot of flack.

Viall, who knows a thing or two about making questionable decisions on the small screen, asked Weber what it’s been like to watch his dating life depicted on TV.

Weber revealed that watching the show has been more difficult than he anticipated, not because everyone hates seeing themselves on screen, but because of the surprises: “It’s a lot harder watching this back for me. There was so much information I wasn’t privy to.” Like what, we wonder?

The Bachelor also took a moment to explain himself, saying, “I’m making decisions in the moment based off the information I have and I’m not making dumb decisions on purpose, and I know everyone thinks I am or thinks I’m just being indecisive. There’s a lot of indecision, but that’s what you get when you date so many women at once.”

To be fair, juggling so many relationships would be hard. Still, get it together, Pete.
